Searching an admin usually means picking where to search first. Here there is one field, and every active module answers for its own part.
One search, every module
One word, and the search answers in every module at once: posts, media, notes, clients. Arrows browse, Enter opens.
One field: results grouped by kind
Results come grouped by kind (navigation, media, events), and each one leads to the screen that edits it. Each module contributes its own section: the field knows nothing of the domains it reaches, and a module added tomorrow shows up there untouched.
What the field reaches
- Publications, of every type, on their title as well as the text of their zones.
- The media library's documents, by name.
- Calendars, their events and their reminders.
- Your notes, on their title as well as their text, with an excerpt around the match, even though they are encrypted in the database. Client-space notes too, with the space's name, and they open in the space.
- The Studio: client spaces and their cards, customers, contracts, contract templates and presentations.
- Each section only shows what the account is allowed to open: a client space you are not a member of does not appear, and reaching the field at all is a privilege of its own.
- The text of publications is indexed on save: searching a thousand pages costs what searching ten costs.
- A module that fails returns an empty list instead of taking the whole field down with it.
