Photo galleries

A gallery is added under a publication without touching the rest of the page.

A gallery is a tab on the publication, not a separate page. You add photographs, order them, caption them, and they land under the content.

Two arrangements

  • Grid: every photograph cropped to one ratio, read row by row.
  • Masonry: each photograph keeps its proportions, read down the columns.
  • A lightbox on click, closed by keyboard as readily as by mouse.
  • A caption and alt text per photograph, translated.

This is the piece I use for my own photo stories, and it serves a client site unchanged.
