A multilingual site is not several sites. In Aurora a publication carries its languages inside it: one tab per language, the same arrangement, different words.
One language after another
The same post, in Spanish: translated fields are filled in language by language, with the switcher at the top, while the layout stays the same for all of them.
The same publication in English
The title, the summary, the text of every zone and the captions follow the language, as does the address of the page. The layout is written once: translating a page does not mean rebuilding it, and hreflang tags are emitted on their own.
What is left to translate
The publications list shows each one's languages, and greys out the one where nothing is written yet. Here, the draft “What's new in 2027” exists in French and English and is waiting for its Spanish. In the editor, the empty language's tab carries a dot.
What else follows the language
- Search settings: meta title and description, focus keyword, indexing.
- Menu entries, categories, tags, and any field marked “per language”.
- The suite itself, fully translated into French, English, Spanish, German and Dutch.
